Meet the Chef Event

Appetizers were served on the patio where Chef Scholly made a brief talk. Most, but not all, stayed for dinner afterwards.

With the idyllic weather, the May 24 Mountain Homesteaders Happy Hour at Wintergreen's Devils Grill Restaurant at Devils Knob took place on the porch. The event introduced Master Chef Edwin M. Scholly. Chef Scholly spoke to the sell-out group for a few minutes, then joined the party. 

Scholly comes to Wintergreen with an impressive resume. He was awarded the James Beard Award in 2011, named German Master Chef of the Year in 1996, was the fifth-place winner of the Bocuse d'Or France in 1995. He was a guest chef at the White House for 24 years. Most recently, Scholly was executive chef at the Baltimore Eagle restaurant in Baltimore. More on Chef Scholly here.

There was an excellent supply of different appetizers to sample.
