The Executive Director of the Wintergreen Property Owners Association filed a formal letter with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on May 4, 2017, questioning the Atlantic Coast Pipeline's statements to FERC on May 1, 2017, where ACP says they "are currently working with Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs) to develop Emergency Response Plans for construction."
"At no point has any representative from Dominion Power or the Atlantic Coast Pipeline met with or corresponded with the NCESC (Nelson County Emergency Services Council)," the letter states, quoting Wintergreen Fire and Rescue Chief Curtis Sheets.
"I am extremely concerned about the lack of detail and inaccuracies offered up in this (the ACP's May 1st) response. When you consider the risks involved, the response in completely unacceptable," Jay Roberts, Executive Director of the Wintergreen Property Owners Association says in his letter to FERC.
